"Without a Shirt" follows the story of a young boy who unfortunately after every sentence utters the words "Without a Shirt'". With his trusty dog who always digs (so much so it forces the whole family to move homes) the boy realises his speech impediment all comes down to a family curse and some bones.
Depending on the story, the book changes from being written in first to third person. The stories appeal comes in the form of toilet humour which is why it proves to be popular with younger adolescents.
Inside a classroom this book could be used as part of a cross curriculum activity with art where students are to draw a storyboard of one of the short stories.
