Hi,
My name is Daniel Kelly. I am a second year student in the MBET (formerly LBPM) program at the University of South Australia. This is a brief introduction as a part of the online blogger requires for the English, Language and Literacies course that I am currently undertaking.
My life has always revolved around the outdoors, and more
specifically sport. At the age of five I began to play cricket as my school. I continued playing cricket for my
schools each and every year of schooling until the completion of year 12. Along
the way I also played cricket for a couple of clubs. The first club I played at
was the Walkerville Cricket Club at the age of 12. After just one season at Walkerville
I progressed to playing at a higher competition at the Prospect District
Cricket Club until the end of the last season.
Coinciding with my cricket was my deep love for AFL
football. I began playing for the school team at grade 2 and continued playing
for school teams through all my schooling. At age 10 I joined the Broadview
Football Club and recently played my first Div 1 A grade game. Along the way I
also played football for North Adelaide in Junior development teams.
My current interests include football, gym, cars, movies, gaming and anything outdoors. I work part-time at woolworths in the groceries department to support my study.
This week I read a children’s picture book titled “My Funny
Family” by Keith Faulkner. It was extremely interesting to pull apart the many
details of the book including the formatting, language and literacy.
